Kress Foundation Scholarships

The Samuel H. Kress Foundation is once again generously funding scholarships for SEI 2025. We thank them for supporting SEI since 2006.

Kress Scholarship recipients receive complimentary registration to SEI.

Applications Open: February 10, 2025

Applications Close: March 10, 2025 at 11pm PST

Recipients will be notified by March 31st, 2025.

SEI 2025 is an online live event and all workshops will be taught synchronously. Kress Scholarship recipients are expected to participate fully in the entire workshop. We encourage you to review the schedule before applying.

All applications will be evaluated by the SEI Co-Chairs based on the criteria established for the award and any additional directions from the Kress Foundation. 

SEI continues to prioritizing inclusivity and equity, and support scholarship applicants who:

- Identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or People with Disabilities

- Are students or recent graduates of community colleges or state colleges

- Are early-career professionals needing digital collections skills

- Lack access to institutional funding

- Work on projects requiring digital collections skills, especially those representing marginalized communities

Each Kress Scholarship recipient will be required to write a summary detailing how they benefitted from SEI and the scholarship upon completion of SEI 2025.
