Getting to Evanston

The Evanston/Chicago area is served by two airports: O’Hare International (ORD) and Midway International (MDW).

Ground transportation from O’Hare (ORD) to Evanston

Via Bus

Take Pace Bus – Route 250 (aka the “Kiss-N-Fly” Bus)
Duration: 1 hour or less
Cost: $2.75 each way (Cash only)

Via Train

Take Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) from O’Hare to Evanston
Duration: 1.5 hours or less
Cost: $5.00 from ORD / $2.75 to ORD – each way (Cash or Credit)
Directions:

Via Rideshare (Uber, Lyft or taxi)

Duration: about 40 minutes (depending on traffic)
Cost: between $30 – $40 + tip

Ground transportation from Midway (MDW) to Evanston

Via Train

Take Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) from Midway to Evanston
Duration: 1.5 hours or less
Cost: $2.50
Directions:

Via Rideshare (Uber, Lyft or taxi)

Duration: about 50 minutes (depending on traffic)
Cost: between $40 – $50 + tip

By Train

Amtrak trains arrive at Union Station.

From Union Station, walk two blocks to Ogilvie Station and ride the Union Pacific North (UP-N) METRA train to the Evanston – Davis stop.

This will cost $5.75 each way if you purchase ahead of time in station (Cash or Credit) OR $5.75 + service fee (Cash ONLY) on the train.

By Bus

Both Greyhound and Megabus offer travel to/from Chicago.

Once you arrive at the bus station or stop, walk or catch a rideshare to Ogilvie Station and ride the Union Pacific North (UP-N) METRA train to the Evanston – Davis stop.

This will cost $5.75 each way if you purchase ahead of time in station (Cash or Credit) OR $5.75 + service fee (Cash ONLY) on the train.
