Courtney Baron

Courtney Baron, Senior Co-Chair

Courtney Baron is the Director of the Bridwell Art Library at the University of Louisville. Previously, she was the Head of Library Teaching and Outreach Services at Emory University’s Oxford College campus. She received her Bachelor of Arts dual degree in Classical Archaeology and Latin from the University of Georgia and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Valdosta State University. Baron currently serves as the Senior Co-Chair for SEI, the Summer Educational Institute for Visual Resources and Image Management, and Co-Moderator of the Academic Division of ARLIS/NA. Her research interests include art librarianship and feminist pedagogy.

Bridget Madden, Junior Co-Chair

Bridget is the Associate Director of the Visual Resources Center in the Department of Art History at the University of Chicago. Prior to this she was the Assistant Director of the Visual Resources Center at UChicago and Curatorial Assistant at the Art Institute of Chicago. She has an MLS from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA from the University of Chicago.

Molly Szymanski

Molly Szymanski, Incoming Co-Chair

Molly is the Digital Archivist for the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries at The Art Institute of Chicago. Prior to this, she was a National Digital Stewardship Resident (NDSR) and lead on archival projects at the Center for the Education of Women in Ann Arbor and the Mayibuye Archives in Cape Town, South Africa. She has a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan, which she was inspired to pursue after working for nearly a decade with community-based organizations and seeing an urgent need to manage, preserve, and create access to critical digital resources.

Nicole Finzer

Nicole Finzer, Local Arrangements Co-Chair

Nicole is a Digital Projects & Outreach Librarian at Northwestern University (NU) in Evanston, IL. Prior to this she was the Digital Curation Librarian and Visual Resources Librarian at NU, Visual Resources Specialist at Bryn Mawr College, and Assistant Curator of Visual Resources at the Pennsylvania State University. Before pursuing her MLS, she worked at the Art Institute of Chicago, Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, and Chicago History Museum. She has an MLS from Indiana University Bloomington and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She recently completed her Project Management Certification through NU.
